Cooking Class!!!

Ok, so I never finished posting the last cooking class and we're on to the next one. So I will try to make sure I post them once a week so you can see what we are doing...then during our break I will go back to the International class to catch up...
This is a "Holiday Cooking Class"...so we're making desserts, candy, side dishes and entrees. I am very excited about this one too.
This last week we focused on desserts, i.e., pies, cakes, crepes, most of them with apples as the main ingredient.
Here's a peek into our class, some friends have joined in this one, so you may recognize a few....

Shine waiting for the teacher instructions before we get cooking....

Yea, we have some friends in our class...
Yeah!!! More friends...
Aaahhh!! The ingredients for the night...I love all that color...gorgeous!!!! Yummy Apples!!!
Now we're cooking....our dish our group was preparing was an "Old Fashioned Apple Pie". I have attempted apple pie many times in the past...but not one Hugo has "really" liked..so I am on a mission to make one the he loves...

Shine is rolling out the leftover dough to cut out the leaves for the top of the crust....They are so beautiful on top of the pie...

Mema putting the glaze on top of our masterpiece...
Here it is Babe!!...I hope you like it...It looks pretty, I hope it tastes good....Well, we should probably cook it first... Here's a close-up before it was cooked....

Our friends made an "Cranberry Apple Upside Down Cake"...it was yummy...good job girls...
Our other group of friends made an "Apple Tar Tartane"...well, it was very good too...Carmelized apples in a dough...yummo!!!The finished product...

Even better with a scoop of dairy....
Well, my husband loved it...However, I have just a couple more crust recipies that I want to try...I want to see him jump in the air for joy...so if he does that I will be sure to grab a camera and post that...it will be the entry of the year...cause he doesn't jump for much out of emotion...only for God and that is spiritual not emotional....So I will keep ya'all posted...

Way to Go Titans, Way To Go!!!

On Saturday we all went to Shine's cheer compitition. This is the USA Regional Competition. We we were there for over 3 hours watching team after team, after team perform. It's actually pretty cool to watch. It's just like on the competitions that you watch on TV.
Shine's cheer team had two different division teams to perform on...
the "Jr. High Group Stunt" (a team of 4) and the "Jr. High Show Novice".
I am happy to announce both teams came in at 1st Place!!!!
Way to go Titans!!!
Here's some pictures from our day...
Mema, Shine and Brooklin....
Brooklin is such a cheerleader for Shine...right at the point of a pin drop in the whole gym, Brooklin yells as loud as she can...
"Go Shine!!"
If any of you have heard her yell, well then I don't need to explain, the whole room heard her...she's small but she packs a big punch. So after Shine routine was done she came to sit with us until the awards...Brooklin couldn't wait to sit by her...She crawled over all of us to get to her...Ya Gotta love your Sis!!!

Proud Mom & Dad!!!!!
Hugo and Kameron....

The kids were so good...they stayed in the bleachers, we were all crammed in there, sitting very close together....for 3 hours....I was so proud of how good they were....

Kameron saw someone from his class...he finds a friend anywhere...
While waiting for the awards to start they had music playing...this particular song was "YMCA"...well, Kameron decides to try to steal the show...he went out on the gym floor in front of everyone and starts to break dance....everyone was looking at him, smiling and enjoying the show...
He really got into it...these are only two of the pics....
Brooklin joins in....

Back to the cheer team....this is the Small Stunt Group...(4)...Shine's the back spot...she's the one looking up at her butt in the back...great view.lol!!! It's amazing to me that these 4 girls toss this little girl in the air like a hot potato...she spins, does the splits, kicks, flips over, etc...all while in mid air...then drops down and the other 3 catch her...amazing...
Again, Shine's standing in the back...she's very tall...

This is the video of the entire group...the above pics are of the Jr. Stunt Group..only 4 girls...but this one is another division with the entire comp team...Shine's group is on the right hand side...
(You will hear Shine's biggest fan, Brooklin, yelling "Yea, Shine", several times in the video).

Part of the main Comp Team with their plaque... Being that both the teams Shine is on made 1st place, one of the good things is now we go on to USA Nationals at Disneyland...Wahoo!!!!! So both teams will go and compete in Feb/Mar...we end up making it a family vacation.

My Shine...your beautiful, smart, strong and have a great attitude...we are sooo proud of you. You are truly amazing!!!!Way to stand out!!!!

Sorry for the long post but it had to be done on this one...

Creativity 101!!!

I walked in my closet the other day to see something Hugo had told me about but I was having a hard time picturing it with my own eyes until I was watching this...

(WARNING: This video is about 5 min long, so if you can't watch it for that long right now, just come back later).

Brooklin finally accomplishes her goal at about the 4 min mark, so be patient til then. She knew I was videoing her, but she kept moving...Take a peek. ...

Who would have ever thought that this could even have been thought of...if you notice the only thing holding the blanket on is her hands. As it starts to fall, she is laughing and has no fear. There is really not much that this child is afraid of. There are a lot of kids out there who are not afraid of stuff, however, God has blessed this child and I know she hears from God frequently by some of the precious Godly things that come out of her mouth. She has prayed in the spirit for a couple of years now, since she was about two years old without us pressing in to teach her. It almost scared me until I realized the source on where that came from.
This little girl is such a huge blessing to our lives. God has really given her some special attributes. She is very smart and teaches us great things. We know that God has given her a special annointing and we see it everyday of her life.
Next time you don't know where your child is....you may want to stop in and check on them.

Look What the Babysitter Did!!!!!

Ok...so I have been out of the Blog Buzz lately...I have been crazy busy..so that just means that I have a lot to share...I'm back..have lots of posts planned. They may be kind of old but still fun...So here goes..

So after reading Bethany's blog, you know our family's have spent some time together. Well, look what Bernadette gave to Kameron. Can you believe it?? You know, you just never know what goes on when you're not around....always pay attention!!!

So before you get all freaked out...allow me redeem Bernadette. Yes, it's candy...however, it does look very real, huh? He sure does look like he knows what he is doing. Either he pays very close attention to detail or someone has shown him how to do such a thing.
Did that happen at Bernadette's house too???
I love you, Bernadette!!!! And so do my children...Thanks for all the fun at your house..
