Happy Birthday Mema!!!

Happy Birthday to you, happy birthday to you Mema!!!! We love you and are happy to have you here for your birthday, and although all the rest of your kids are not with us for the celebration, we will make sure that you feel special on this day.
Thank you for being a great mom to us all. All the things you have taught us over the years, is the reason it is hard for you to tell us anything now, because you taught us right the first time. It has stuck with each of us. We appreciate the wisdom and advice and mothering you have given us all.
Thank you for being a great mom, mema, and mother-in-law.
We love you and honor you on this great day.
Happy Birthday Mom!!!

ps...to our Tennesseean family....we will miss you on this special party day.

P365/This week!

Here's a few of my P365 pics for last week...just thought I would share a little peek at what happened each day...I love this project...

Shine and her friend Jessica at their Cheer Spirit Night...

Kameron lost a tooth...

The tooth fairy came...

Brooklin loves her Jumpstart preschool computer game...

The girls getting fitted for Ws. Bethany's wedding...

Brooklin didn't understand why she couldn't take her princess dress home that same day...she promises to be a little "gill" the night of the wedding...with Nemo in a tow, she must be on her best behavior. ????
Shine will have fun wearing that beautiful dress. All grown up...too grown up for mom to even think about.

A picture of my laundry pile for the week...it looks less than it actually is..it is minus two loads in the wash at the time of this pic and it is missing towels as well, for a total of 9 loads.

Pancake Saturday!!!...these were whole wheat and soy sausage..since we're on our whole grain/veggie only fast...
Oh my!!!

Packing up the Christmas stuff, these two decided they were not letting the Christmas stuff go away that easy...my kids are Christmas freaks!!! Not just the presents, they want every piece of decor they see. They wanted to leave it up all year.
What kind of monsters did I create???

Brooklin asked me while I was on the computer to help her put this GIANORMOUS Nemo puzzle together that Aunt Sheri got her for Christmas...of course, I couldn't resist.
Who could resist that face???
Well, that concludes our week from the 15th-20th...not including work, church, normal comings and goings...whew!!! no wonder I'm tired.
Hope you all had a great week like I did...take time to enjoy your families...they grow and go way too fast!!

Kameron's Award Ceremony

Finally a post!!! Sorry that took so long. I came back from our trip into a full swing week. Haven't had much time til this week. It seems that all my other blog buddies have been busy too. Not too many posts lately. Pretty quiet around the blog post. Come on ladies lets get back to posting. I love to hear what you're all doing.

Yesterday, we went to an awards ceremony at Kameron's school. His teacher had sent an invitation for us to attend. When we got there, Kameron got an award for Citizenship, which was only 3 kids total from his class. So of course we were proud of him.
Then on to the next award...he was then called up for an acedemic award. This award is for students that carry a GPA of 3.5-4.0 with A's and B's, with no more than two B's. Report cards come home on Friday, so we can see the actual GPA results but again, we are very proud of Kameron.

Then yesterday a note came home from his teacher, recommending Kameron for the E.C.L. (Exceptionally Capable Learners) group.

If you are not familiar with that program, it is not GATE but it is like GATE for 1st-3rd graders. Their I.Q. is not tested until they are in 3rd grade. E.C.L. meets every other week and give the students an opportunity to work on a selected subject in greater depth.

The subject selected this year is "Plant Life". The parts of plants and their needs, why we need plants, technology research on the plants and completing web quests, different uses for plants and ways to help Earth.

We are very honored to have Kameron selected for this group as I realize there are only a number of student spots available.
Great job Kameron!!!
Me and Dad are very proud of you and your hard work.
(I know you will read this as you do keep up on all the blogs).

Me and Kameron after the morning awards...(Brooklin likes to be in any picture being taken and of course, Nemo.)
