September Layout!

This is my latest layout for the store,
just thought I'd share a peek with you all.
Share your thoughts....

This is the right hand page....Right hand page....
A little closer detail...Mom bought these leaves for me...I love the glitter on them, and the rich colors, just like the leaves Sis will see this year...thanks mom!

I love pumpkins....this was a long sticker that I cut up to fit in the space I had...

I was very glad they gave me fall colors to work with. It's been a long time since I have worked with fall colors. Also, I hadn't scrapped these pictures yet from our annual family trip to the pumpkin patch from last year.

This year trip will be quite different than all the previous years w/out all our family. We will make sure to have a good time for the kids and we will, however, we sure will miss the rest of our family.

Hope you all like the layout design.

Been a Little Busy!!!

Well, I haven't posted in a few days...just like everyone else. It seems all the other bloggers out there have been just as busy as we have. Let's see what have we been doing since my last post....well, I'll try to make it short...

Shine had a game or two, a cheer dinner/auction, Kameron had a soccer game and soccer picture day, Brooklin has been practicing her music (I'll share later), Kameron's school carnival. Wow that's just school stuff.

Well, I will just show some highlightive(did I just make up a word?) pics...
Kameron's soccer game....

Team meeting....Kameron looks like Hugo standing like that.. Sissy is such a good cheerleader for Kameron...she loves watching him play.
Kameron doesn't like being a goaly...however, he looks very cute in the goaly shirt....he ends up trying to play when the ball comes his way...wow, that's a serious look on his face. He stopped the other team from scoring 3x's, and missed one.

Good job Kameron!!! Yeah Team!!!! They won the game 11-7...

Soon after Kameron's game we headed for the last hour of Shine's game...

The team cheer....I personally think Shine is the most beautiful...she's the tallest one, front and center.

Some video of Shine cheering....

On to Brooklin....I took this video when I heard Shine playing the piano...Brooklin heard her, got her drum and started playing with her drum, but when she played she was playing in time with the beats of Shine playing the piano. I just thought it was so cool to hear her play with Shine...

Here it is....

Another one that shows both of them...

Well, that's it for a Saturday morning and afternoon. It's just about as busy as a weekday. I am making the decision to enjoy my children while their at this young age.

Walking with the Dinosaurs!!!!

Hugo took Kameron to see the "Walking with Dinosaurs" show at Save Mart Center. He got some tickets at work, front row seats. They had a blast. Kameron is really into dinosaurs lately...he loves to read about them, look at pics of them, knows the names of them and can tell you very many details about them. Of course, I'm a gill (girl in Brooklins language), however, he knows a lot of details about these crazy creatures. Try him out the next time you talk to him.
Anyway, here's a few pics of the great time they had..
By the way, if you think its too late to train your husbands to take a "load" of pics like mine, then think again....you get em' where it hurts....you train their son.
That way when they go somewhere with dad the son is telling the dad to take the picture of them in front of the ????. It worked great for me this trip...Hugo filled up his memory card with the pics/video of the event and Kameron came home saying, Mom, I told dad to take that pic....I was loling... I must say they both did a great job at the photography, Kameron telling Hugo what to take and Hugo taking the pic.
They were both very proud to bring home a full memory card to show mom. Of course, I made a huge deal about it to both of them.
There you are ladies...that's how ya do it...
Enjoy the creepy dinos....
Well, this is not a dino and he's not creepy...

The only pic of Kam and Hugo together...but it's a good one, I love these two...they are the two most important men in my life.

Now the dinos'.....
The back plates on this one turn red and to date there is a big dispute as to why...not sure why except that the blood rushes to them....
Give a guy a break..."no time like dinner time"....nothing stops hungry in a man...not even scary dinos....Ok fine, Kameron wasn't scared at all, and didn't "need" his mom....Dang!!!!

Maybe he is a dino and maybe he is creepy.....lol!
"Aahh! Mom this is my favorite dinosaur in the whole world...it's a Teridactil, it flies in the air". It's a what???? That sounds like the cough medicine I just gave your sister...What's a gill to do?

This one just finished with a "Raaarrrr!!!" you can see the stream of steam below his mouth....Hugo said it was the loudest one out of all of them. This video is super funny....this dinosaur came right up to Kameron, they were on the front row and he was pretty much exactly in front of his face. He told me he was not scared at all, however, Brooklin would have been scared if she would have went....I don't know that to be a true statement.

Some more videos to enjoy...

This ones the loudest of the night....be ready...

This is a very happy little boy...what an great dad he has...I am very thankful to have a husband that places priority on time with his children...

Kameron had a great time seeing the dinosaurs in action. Hugo said it was somewhat like a documetary but better because it was live. So Kameron learned more details about Dinosaurs. It was great time for Dad and son time. However, Hugo is forgetting that his youngest, petite, little gill is somewhat of a tomboy. Brooklin told me after they left that she wanted to go to see the dinosaurs. I think she would have loved it very much and I know she would not have been afraid of them. I think I would have though.

Shine decided that she wasn't interested at all. I originally told her we were all going as a family and she had a cow..."Mom, I don't want to go at all!" Kameron's response to her was, "Shine, they're not real, they're just robots, cause if they were real they would come and eat us."
This is why we call him little Hugo...very logical about everything, even down to turning off the lights when not in use. I agree, however, the two of them drive us gills crazy with that.

Hope you enjoy the Dinos as much as Kameron did....

Thank you for enduring this long post but Kameron said before he left that he would promise to make dad take a lot of pics if I posted them on our blog. He will be excited to see them all posted. So see you can train your boys!!!!

Happy Birthday to Sissy!!!

Ok, so I don't have a scrap layout but I still want to say....

Happy Birthday Sissy!!!
Sis, you are the greatest sister anyone could ever ask for or imagine. I know that cause you're mine.
You are always there for anyone that needs a hand, an encouraging, kind word, or anyone that needs direction and wisdom or some peace added to their life.
You are the most unselfish person I know.
You show a great example of a godly wife, mother and friend.
You are the one who has gotten us all started with all the crazy amount of pictures and scrapbooking. To that all the husbands thank you, I'm sure.
You know how to live life.
You are the best aunt to my children(they love their Aunt ReRe).
You've grown me up in many ways, not just as a child but still help me to direct my attention where it should be.
You've taught me how to hear God for myself.
You've taught me to be a leader, not a follower,
how to be a mother and wife.
All the little things you've taught me that are big to me....scrapbook techniques, photography, Photoshop, computer techniques, where to hang that picture in my house, when to burn my candles, how to simplify my life(still learning that one), how to upload pictures to where I need them to go, how to shop, how to "learn" that I don't "need" something...the list goes on and on, I am positive there are others out there that share my thoughts and agree.
You mean soooo much to me, this little blog post is not nearly enough space to show it. I hope you have a wonderful birthday. I just wish all us girls could be there to take you out to the "Melting Pot" to celebrate.

Anyone that reads this today...make sure you call her, write her, blogpost her, email her, text her....somehow tell her Happy Birthday so she knows how special she is, especially if you agree with any or all of this post.
I love you Sis!!!
Happy Birthday!!!!!

Remember those Furbies???

Ok...so some of you may remember when the kids meal came out that included a toy called the "McFurby". They came out in March of 1999.
Here's a peek....
At that time my mom would stop by McDonalds on her way home from work or for lunch and order a kids meal because she was watching her portions and this was a way to assist in the "portion control"diet. Well anyway, along with the portion controlled meal came the "McFurby" toy. She just so happen to think these little things were cute and would place them on her desk at work(quite a few, I might add).

Well, after she left that job of course the McFurbies left with her. So there they went...home with mom. Then mom moved to Fresno, then Oklahoma and of course, out of all the things she got rid of for the moves, the McFurbies were not included in the yard sale pile.
So the story continues..(I am going somewhere with this, I promise), mom then moved back to Fresno and stayed with my sister. Well, last year when sis moved to Nashville, mom came to stay with us. We are very happy to have her in our home especially since the rest of my family is all in Nashville.

Once this move got going, upon getting rid of some household items and going thru the storage unit, once again the "McFurby" container shows up, all of us can't believe she still had them....those things have moved all over the country with mom and just continue to keep showing up. This time was different though...mom did get rid of those ugly, fuzzy, bug-eyed, colored, big eared, plastic, toys that a child should be scared to look at....the only problem was....she gave them to Brooklin. I always knew her and mom had a "thing" going on...now I know....they both love those stupid"Furbies"...OMG!!! Brooklin was soooo happy, she loved them at first site, may I add...mom didn't give me a chance to even say no or to have a say in the adoption. So now they move to their new home..."Ours"!!!
Brooklin loves them so much she even talks to them. Yes, mom must have been saving them all 9 years for this special occasion....they did go to the right home.
Now these scary characters sit in Brooklin's room in the same plastic container they have lived in for years.

So I am proud of mom for letting them go finally, however, I have a feeling I will still have them 9 years from now as well, all 25 of them...they will quite possibly go off to college with Brooklin some day, the way she feels about them.
So, all that because I went in her room one day and this is what I saw....

"All my Furbies in a row"....

"They're so cute, do you like them Mommy?"

"Come here, little green Furbie"...

I just about fell over when I walked in her room. She was having such a great time with them all lined up. She was having a conversation with them. This child always has enjoyed just playing by herself...however, I think she is not really alone. At least, not according to her.....

Goodies w/Grandparents!!!

Prior to me leaving for OC, Kameron had a special day at school with Grandparents. It was called "Goodies with Grandparents". It was a great morning. I had to explain to all the teachers that I was not an granny, but I wanted to just be there to take pics. They all laughed, but I even promised I wouldn't take a muffin or juice. haha!!
Take a peek at our morning..... The first thing we did was to take a photo with Mema, Kameron and Brooklin.
Waiting in line for breakfast goodies...
Guess what Brooklin picked out....of course, OJ!!
Chocolate muffins for breakfast...definitely only on Grandparents day...you can tell the mom's were not present.
Fruit Platter
This was especially fun for Kameron..this is Ms. Higdon, his teacher, she was serving him and Mema...He thought that was so cool.

Kameron and Mema...Kameron was very proud to have Mema at his school.
Another grandparent goody to give to the kids in the am...No parents allowed.
I love this pic...Kameron and Mema laughing while he is enjoying his chocolate milk....something we do not keep at our house.
"Look mom, no hands"...Dad would be so proud of his table manners. That stuff drives him crazy...again, no parents allowed!!
Of course Nemo was present...he's a grandson too!!!
I love this pic...everyone is looking at the camera and smiling and having a great time together.
Well, by this time Mema had to go to work, so Kameron thought he would have some fun and shove the muffin in Brooklin's mouth. Oh, but don't worry 'bout her...she gets him to the ground all the time.
We had a great morning together. Kameron was very excited to have Mema at his school and in his environment.
We are very happy and blessed to have Mema here with us...we know before too long she will be in Nashville with the rest of our family, but until then we want to enjoy as much of her as we can. Mom, I love knowing that you are here with my children.
Mema we love having you here with us!!!
We love you!!!

OC Road Trip!!

I'm back!!!!!
I have been gone the last 4 days that's why you haven't seen me post on the blog in a little bit. I have missed blog land though!!!

Well, I thought I would put a couple pics on the blog of where I was. I went on a ladies retreat with the church. We had a good time, however, I worked most of the time. I enjoy what I do but I still got a little tired.
The retreat was called "OC Road Trip". It was held down south in Orange County(OC). There is an awesome mall down there. Anything you could want. Crate n Barrel, The Container Store, however, I did not get a chance to look for a scrapbook store. I should have searched before I went. Anyway, our speaker was great. Her name was Jillian Chambers, from Oasis Center in Nashville. I had a great time with her and her assistant, Karen. It was great to meet someone that does the same job I do. I thought I was all alone. LOL!!
Anyway, here are a few pics...... This is Pastor Jillians assistant, Karen.....
Charlie's Angels...well, maybe assistants to the Angels...LOL!!
Being silly.
Pastor Jillian and Karen, we had a great time with you...I hope to see you soon.
These are just a few pics from the OC...I had a good time, however, my fam was glad to see me come home.
I'll post again soon.
Till next Time with T!!!
