San Francisco Treat!!

Happy 6 month Birthday to our
Coco Adoration Capri!!!

I can't believe 6 months ago today our hearts quadrupled when she was born.
She has been such a light to our lives and our home.
We love you Coco and are so thankful for you to be in our lives.
God blessed us fully with the best children.

We had to go to San Francisco for an appointment last week.
We decided to make it fun for the kids by going somewhere different, than just the usual Pier 39, which we all love.
We were just looking for something different this time.
Hugo has been itching to go to the California Academy of Science Museum.
Once we told the kids, they were so happy.
They love to look at every little thing the museum has to offer.
We went to our appointment then went to the museum.

Brooklin and Kameron in front of the sign before we went inside.

This is a huge flower displayed inside. This is the actual size of the flower.
I thought it was just oversized to show the detail but it wasn't, this was the actual size. Kameron said he read about them in a book, and sure enough he was right. That was the real size of them.
I guess I had so much going on with the kids, that I forgot to take pictures of the names of the exhibits we were seeing. I know, how could that happen?
Well, a long day, 3 little children, and only an hour and a half inside. I guess that could be expected.

Brooklin found Felix the frog. She loved to see him and did have a conversation with him. He was a huge frog. Bigger than in your backyard, well, at least bigger than in my backyard. Thank goodness!

This is just inside the Butterfly garden. Kameron giving me a cheesy grin.
This was a great display. There are circular ramps you walk up inside and it takes you to the top. While you're walking the butterflies just fly all over around your head and land right next to you or even on you.
If fact, when we left this area they had us turn around to check our backs, bags and even ran a big duster type brush under the stroller to make sure there were no critters or butterflies that got stuck on us.
A butterfly is fine but not a critter like this cute little frog on this leaf.
You can barely see the little guy....he's red with blue legs. He's close enough that we could have touched him but we didn't. I was thinking why would he not jump on us? He was cute and very brightly colored.

Brooklin was most impressed with this little Gecko guy. He is so real, he looks fake. He was in a glass case, not out in the open like the others.

I wonder if her name is Charlotte? This was huge. I can't imagine finding that in my laundry room.

This is a huge water snake. I never found his head, which was fine with me.

Brooklin found Mr. Ray's family.
She was so happy to take a picture for Mr. Ray.

This fish was huge...the picture of Brooklin is a little blurry but I used it to show how big this fish was in comparison to her head.

The kids loved to pet the starfish.
Brooklin did try to pick them up and the lady asked her not too, nicely.

Her Eel friends. They are different colors than the Mr. Green Eel.

This is what Hugo is holding Brooklin up to see. Seahorses.

Kameron really liked this big aquarium wall. It was way above your head and lower than your feet, cause there were steps down. Hugo said he read that prior to the museum opening, they had to move this big glass during the night because to transport it there, it took up several lanes on the road.
It is HUGE and it is very thick and in several sheets.
This is a huge white alligator.

The turtle display.

These are just disgusting. Yes, hissing cockroaches.
They are huge!!! They were inside a big glass case and you could still hear them hissing.

Brooklin with the Zebras. I love Zebra print.
I guess I shouldn't say that too loud in a museum huh?

CoCo just enjoying her ride. She was taking in all the sights.
She is very observant and watched everything.
I was hoping a butterfly would have landed on her and I could have got a great picture.

Hugo said,"Look it's Mema!!".

CoCo laughing...I couldn't resist.

Doesn't this display remind you of Night at the Museum?
He sits right inside the front door.
They actually have Night at the Museum there where kids can spend the night. Wouldn't that make a great birthday party?

Brooklin found a friend in the gift store. She helped Brooklin find a prize.
She hung around our family the whole time we were in there.
I didn't think til later, maybe she thought we were going to break something.
This was her prize she got.
She was so excited because she could see things up close.

Hugo and the kids while I took the picture.

Me and the kids while Hugo took the picture.

We did make one last stop before heading home.
We must not go to San Fran without getting a bowl of clam chowder.
It was getting late, so we just drove down to the pier and ran quickly into Fisherman's Grotto and had a quick bowl, then headed home.
It was quite cold and windy there but
when we got home it was still in the 100's.

We had a great day with the family. We missed our Shine. She had cheer practice and could not miss. Kameron was happy to miss the day of school especially for the museum visit.

If you're ever in San Francisco, California Academy of Science Museum is a great stop. The kids really enjoyed it.

Thanks for sharing bits of our day.
Til next Time with T!!!

Disneyland(Part 1)..The Drive

Ok so here we go. I have not posted any of our Disneyland trip photos. That's a tragedy!!! We had such a fun time, I must share. Trust me...some of the photos here will probably make you laugh out loud. There's always adventure with the entire Egle's nest present.
I was looking at some of these pictures earlier today and was loling myself. I can't wait to go again. I love to vacation with my family. We have a blast.

So this is our drive down the day before the competition....Here we go!! Hang on, cause there are a lot of pics to get thru, hence, "Part 1"...
These are the kids in the car....They are ready to go, Shine with her shades, Sissy with Henrietta the Hippo, and Kameron with his toothless grin....
We don't get to far out of town without our first stop...hmmm! Where would that be?...a must for the girls, a waste for the boys!!
However, I have trained my boy correctly, he loves it too, he just doesn't want to make the stop..he wants to just get there.

Eglette and Nemoette #1-Happy!!!

Egle #2...happy with the drink, not the camera...

Eglette #3-Happy NOW!!!!

Who's driving? Well, he doesn't like coffee but at that low speed, he's happy anyway...

Well, I am set...Mama Egle- Very happy!!! I've got everything under control...
Kids locked up in car seats-shoving their faces with drinks and snacks, I've got my GPS, shades, Grande/triple-shot nonfat/no-whip/White Mocha, Scrap mag, and of course, the latest read, "Twilight"...thanks Bethany for letting me borrow it...this will keep me busy for hours...especially with the hot sun shining on my skin...DIVINE!!!

Moving on...The Grapevine...It was great, not much traffic, sun was shining, and green hills in front. I love this!!! I think sometimes I could be a Gypsy...ha!
This video is funny...listen to where Brooklin says where we are...
strong>We arrive at the hotel we will be at for the next five days...

Well, we didn't stay there long...our hopper passes don't start til tomorrow but who can wait..we just have to get close.
We walked
to Downtown Disney to take a peek at World of Disney and get some dinner...I love this place!

Hugo and Kameron walking across the street.

Mom must stop and take a picture..

California Adventures...

Shine and Brooklin inside the Mickey circle on the ground.

Yay!! Mom and Dad.

I love this Snow Globe...Brooklin wanted to have this to add to her Snow Globe collection she has started...It may not look big in the picture but I had my arms fully extended to take the picture and my camera only reached the bottom. It was gorgeous...

We didn't purchase these hats but we did have to try them on...

Fun and crazy Kameron!!! Mom please don't make me do this...and please don't put this on the blog!!!

Snow Globe heaven for Brooklin and Nemo inside them...she was so happy to find these. She has been asking for a Nemo snow globe for a long time...I didn't think anyone would have made any. She must have been praying..

Boy does she have a BIG God or what? That thing is almost as big as her head...That is Marlin and Dory inside the globe, and a tiny little Nemo is swimming around the two of them...it is a music box too and the sea animals go around at the bottom...
She loves it!!!
Quick story: We saw the little snow globes above, looked at the price of $15 and thought ok..not bad. We would come purchase it later...then across the aisle we turn and see the big one. We look at the price and it's $25. Wow, $10 more and you get all that. Ok we'll come get it later before we go home on the last day.
So the last night comes and we go in to purchase the "big one". I have all our other souviners and stuff throw it all on the counter, make my purchase and hurry out of the store to go to dinner. The resturant is closing in 3 min and will close if I don't get there now.
So the following day after we are back home, I am going thru my receipts to record my final purchases and look closely at this particular receipt...that BIG NEMO SNOW GLOBE was $65. Not believing that I didn't look at my receipt sooner and that I could have missed that price difference, I asked Hugo how much it was and he said, $25. I then knew I wasn't off my rocker and just wanting to see $25. I would have never paid that for a snow globe. That's stupid stuff Aunt Sheri does...haha!! We are now 4 hours away and can do nothing about it. Brooklin has great prayers...

She loves this little suitcase too...so do I!!!

Finally, dinner!!! We went to Rainforest Cafe and waited about 45 min for a table...the kids loved it though.

Brooklin loves eating Octopus, she ate all of them on the appetizer plate, as well as the squid...
I really think she is a sea animal!!

She is not afraid or grossed out at all...look at his tenicles...bright pink, sticky, and stretchy...

Here is the eel, he came out and just sat there and talked to her one on one, just like the one in Nashville. Seriously, he was hidden in the rock and came out to talk to her and stayed there for awhile before he swam away. The one in Nashville is Green this one is leopard...I think it's his cousin...Brooklin said she knew he was going to come out to talk to her...hhmm!!

Well, that's the end of the drive down to Disneyland and dinner the first night we were in town. Ton's more to see.
Come back soon for Part 2, Day 2.
Til next Time with T!!!
