Week 2 Scrap Tiffany Challenge

This week's Scrap Tiffany Challenge was to create a layout using 5 photos. I love using a lot of pictures on my pages because I think that's what it's all about. So this layout went pretty fast for me.
Here's what I came up with...

I love these photos..they were two days before we left Nashville for the holidays and my kids got to play in the snow with their cousin Alex. Although we didn't stay out there long because it was so cold...my sister took 150 snapshots during their playtime. I know 150!!!
However, I'm not complaining and so glad she did because I ended up with all these and more pictures of my kids in the snow with their cousin Alex.

Brooklin said she was going to pray a lot for the snow to come and boy did her prayers get answered. Down to the second the plane lifted off the ground it was still snowing. She must have had a special 800 # to God. ha!

So go on over to Scrap Tiffany and check out the other designs of the 5 photo layouts of the remaining Design Team. Everyone did an amazing job.
Then make your take on the challenge and let's see what you come up with. It's not hard but if you are not used to putting 5 or more photos on your pages, you will appreciate the challenge and making yourself get out of your box.

ScrapTiffany "Can't Live Without"

Today is the first day of the new challenge for ScrapTiffany for 2010.
I'm so excited to be a part of her design team.
I have always loved her ideas for challenges, they help to get you out of your normal scrap box. Especially in the subject areas. Sometimes we can get in a rut of "what" we scrap.
I am looking forward to working with Tiffany and the new design team.
Here's a look at my first layout with Tiffany.
The challenge was to scrap about something you can't live without.
Well, even though my mind went racing about my Starbucks, scrap supplies, my computer, my camera, etc.
Although I enjoy all those things in my life, there is nothing more important to me than my family (after God, of course).
So that is what I chose to scrap about.
I'm so glad I did.
See I told you, Tiffany's challenges make you think.
So here it is...

Go to ScrapTiffany's blog to check out all the other designer's take on this week's challenge. Everyone did an amazing job.

In addition, Tiffany has created a message board that you all can be a part of with all the design team. It's a great place for us all to connect and chat. You can sign up here. It doesn't cost anything to join and it's a great place to connect and be inspired.

Well, there you have it...my latest endeavor.
Thanks again Tiffany for allowing me to be a part of your team. I look forward to working with such a great team.

Photography Class Winner!!

I WON!!!
I'm so excited!! I won a spot in the online photography class taught by Tammy Mitchell.
It's a class that teaches you how to use your Digital SLR camera.
Thank goodness I will be able to get out of auto mode with my camera.
I was visiting Teresa Collins blog one day and saw that Tammy Mitchell was giving away a class spot to Teresa Collins blog readers,
if you left a comment on Tammy's blog, she would choose a winner.
I received the email earlier this week that I was chosen for the spot. I am soooo excited.
Course will include topics such as aperture, shutter speed, ISO, white balance, composition, editing, and much more, all with VIDEO tutorials and hundreds of image examples to help you REALLYunderstand the material.
Yay, not just for me, but for all those who have had to deal with all my questions with my camera. I cannot assure you the questions will stop, however, at least maybe now I will be able to talk with some knowledge about the subject matter. haha!
Here is the link if you are interested in joining me in the class:
I have been a follower of Tammy Mitchell for quite some time. I love her blog, her photography work and her creativity.
Check out her blog, its awesome. You will be inspired.
Thank you so much Tammy for the opportunity to learn the parts and features of my DSLR camera to take great pics.
