B-Day Cupcakes at School!!!

Kameron had a birthday last week. So..what's a birthday without cupcakes at school?
Me and Brooklin headed out...here's how it went.... The date written on the board...what happened to the old faithful chalkboard with the chalk and eraser...black and white and the colored chalk...oh my!! stay focused!!!lol

Kameron's name on the board for a good reason...j/k. Actually his name has never been on the board.

Mom, do you have to take a picture in front of my school friends...yes, get used to it, it's not going away any time soon.

Anytime it's your birthday, you get to go to the principal's office to get a candy and birthday sticker you get to wear all day...

Kameron and his teacher, Ms. Higdon. Shine had Ms. Higdon in 3rd grade..Shine loved her...she is a great teacher.

This is Kameron passing out the juice boxes to his class.

Brookin loves to go to Kameron's school, she thinks she is one of them, no matter boy or girl or grade level.

The birthday boy!!! 7 years..where did it go??

Me and Kameron on the playground..

This is the birthday questions

This is his class singing their special "Happy Birthday Song".

Hope you enjoyed the afternoon with us at Kameron's school.

Monday Holiday!!

Ok, so I am a little behind in my posting. At least it's not a year in review. I am just about a week behind in my posts. I wish I could post the next day for what took place the day before, but that is just not happening right now. Everyday it seems that I have something to do.
~~Blah, Blah, Blah...Blog, Blog, Blog~~
So here's what we did on the wonderful Monday holiday. I loved it, we had two Monday's in a row. That really makes a huge difference when you go all weekend.
This day, we had planned on going up to the snow and let the kids play and sled. Well, by the time we got up and moving, we still had to get gas, "run" by Target or somewhere to see if they had any leftover snow pants for B, and snow boots for K and Shine. We decided after we stopped at one or two stores to look, that if they didn't have any we would just stop looking and go to the movies.
So we dug out the snow bin with everyone else's nylon clothing, hat's, gloves, etc.(since we're in Ca. we don't really need that stuff out all the time), packed the car and some snacks, and out the door we went.
Just as promised, Target was the first stop and nothing, move over to Big 5..nothing in the sizes we needed, so we decided to stick to our plan and go to the movies. Well, on the movies you do pass right by 2 different Sport's Authority's. We compromised on stopping at 1...and just like the rest...nothing. We may have needed to get those items before now. At least in the little sizes.
Here's a few pics inside the sports store....
(need I mention that every single member of my family loves going into sports stores, so much to see, buy and play with).

Brooklin had to try the snow boards...hhmm!! I know those are waterproof frogs but not sure they will work for the snow. She looks like she's done this before, she is in the perfect position.

Can you say "PPP"..."Public Potty Position"? All us girls should have strong femur muscles.
She thinks she can do anything and everything that Kameron does or try's to do.
See the motion in the pic...that's not b/c I didn't focus the camera. He actually started back at the door and slid all the way to where he is. Always an adventure with us around. Of course, eventually he fell on his butt. And, yes Brooklin followed suit..

Brooklin found an animal...she would not leave this poor bird alone. She put him down and kept going back to him, saying, "Hello, Mr. Duckie". Again, I did focus the camera. She kept swinging him back and forth. I think I need a sports shot type camera, cause my family is always moving. LOL!!

Brooklin wanted to shoot a bow...the weight was way too big for her hence, dad helping...she now wants one.

Of course, Shine couldn't let her little brother and sister show her up...she wanted to try too.
Of course, with Dad to help.

So off to the movies we went. Although, for some crazy reason, I didn't get any pictures at the movies. All the kids agreed that they wanted to see "Mall Cop". They laughed, ate popcorn, candy and soda, and B fell asleep. We enjoyed the choice of movie.
After the movie we had decided to go to the pet store to get Blue and Ziggy. Off to Petco we went. Well, when we got there...to make a long story short, basically they didn't have what we wanted. So we decided to go to Whitie's across the street.

We looked there and did get a new Blue (picture coming soon), but no Ziggy.
However, not sure if you have ever been in that pet store but while we were looking at Ziggy's family, they have a ton of mice and rats.
Tiny baby rats the size of my pinkie with no hair on them yet...to little mice to big fat Templeton Rats. YUK!!! It was difficult for me to look in the cages with Ziggy's family in them as they were directly above the mice and rats.

So we left without Ziggy.

I will be showing our new and improved beautiful new "Blue". For those of you that don't know Blue or the story of Blue. Hang tight!! I will be filling you in on that subject real soon.
~~Blah, Blah, Blah...Blog, Blog, Blog~~
So here is another little critter that Brooklin and Shine were very fond of while visiting Ziggy's family.
Take a peek....
Brooklin found these little bunnies in the middle of the store. They're were big ones running around a cage and chasing each other...She loves animals. Not sure, but I think she could be a vet with no problem. It's like she is in another world and not afraid of any of them. She talks to each of them and names them as well.
This cute little bunny, she named "Omie".
No, he didn't come home with us and will not.
Don't ask me, where she got that name from???
Just know this, she names every animal she comes in contact with, live or stuffed it doesn't matter..
Ziggy, Blue, Matthew(our shark fish),
Henrietta(hippo),Felix(frog).
There's more, just can't think of them all.
Anyway, hope you enjoyed our day off with us...
stop by again soon!
Til next Time with T!!!

Brooklin has these boots already, but they are 2 sizes too small and she refuses to get rid of them and wanted to still wear them..thank goodness I found some again, of course in a bigger size...and a Valentine Snow Globe for her collection...Yes, she has decided at the age of 4 to start a snow globe collection like Elf...Oh my!! This could be a bad thing...someone please don't tell Aunt ReRe!!! I will need a storage shed...
Kameron has wanted one of these for awhile...he played with it most of the day...

This is a drawing of while he was sitting next to me in bed while I was reading my latest novel...take a guess at what I am reading???? That's the hands with the apple on the cover of the book, just in case you are not familiar with it..

This is part of Shine's Valentine...she also got a new robe...
Last not least...since it's Valentine's Day..this is a not-so-good picture of me and Hugo out to dinner. (It may have been zoomed out a little more if my arm was longer). Anyway, we went to a very nice dinner at Ruth's Chris Steakhouse...very much fun and much needed chatty conversation we had that night.

Well, thats a wrap...I think that's all of Valentine's Day...
I told you it was an event.
Sorry for the long post!!! Just lots going on...
Anywho!!! Hope you all had a great day of love!!!

Happy Valentines Day!!

Wishing everyone Happy Vday!! Not VD Day but Happy Valentines Day!!!
Hope you all are sending out love today and receiving it back at ya!!!

I have some bad news....Our last post of our latest addition to our family....well, our little Ziggy has passed on. Hugo went to pet him and found him just lying there, but breathing. He and Kameron took him to the pet store and they confirmed that Ziggy just wouldn't make it...
We love you Ziggy for the short time we had you in our home!
We will be getting Ziggy #2, very soon. We will still name him Ziggy, as Brooklin thinks he is just at the Petco hamster doctor. We will tell her when we have the new and improved Ziggy.
Thought I needed to share the news!!!
Hope you all have a good day today!!!

Meet the newest member of the Egle Family!

Allow me to introduce you to the latest addition to our family.
Please meet Ziggy Egle!!!!

One day last week I had a luncheon to go to and asked if our Nanny, Bethany could watch Brooklin and pick up Kameron from school for the couple hours during my meeting. She met me and picked up Brooklin. Bethany mentioned they would visit the petstore. I thought ok, sounds good, Brooklin would enjoy that.

So I get a text during my luncheon from Bethany and she says...Me, Kameron, Brooklin and Ziggy will be at my house when you're done. Hhmmm!!! Here's the txt responses....

Me: "Ziggy?",

Nanny B: "Yes, Ziggy Egle"

Me: "Oh my Lord, Ws. Bethany, what have you done?"

Nanny B: "Well, the latest addition to the Egle family".

So then I show up to get the kids and they are estatic.

I ask: "Who, where and what is Ziggy? Please just tell me it's not a lizard, snake or Iguana". I just could not do those.

Nanny B: Ziggy is a hamster.

Me: OMG!!! What am I going to do with a hamster???

Bethany: "You play with him, pet him and hold him".

Me: "Oh!"

Ok so, I don't normally like these types of animals, however, he was very cute and Bethany had went to so much trouble to house him and get all his stuff (food, treats, cage, bedding, a kabob for me to put cabbage on, and of course, the ball to put him inside of to roll around the house).

Ziggy is eating some food.

He's posing for the picture. (Probably saying, Lord, why the Egle house, out of all the places you could have chose for me, why here?).

So he's here with us and he's kinda cool. He's growing on me. He ran around his wheel last night for about 20 min straight. He sleeps all day and I have given complete instruction that he does not come out of the cage unless you ask and dad is home.

Hope you've enjoyed the story of our adoption of the latest Egle member. I just know that we can add any additional members.

What happened to people just buying a candy, car, or doll for your children. This is almost as bad as a trip to the store with Aunt ReRe.

Just know that paybacks are a pain, Ws. Bethany. Don't forget...your nanny is already hired, you know who..and it comes much faster than you think.

Til next Time with T!!!
