Do you know where your kids are?!!!!

I thought I would share a couple things I found Brooklin and Kameron doing when I walked in the room. Kids are sooo funny sometimes.
The first pic is Brooklin...She was in my closet while I was getting ready right outside the door doing my hair...I saw her go in there, then I didn't hear her for the longest time. So I thought she had walked out when I wasn't paying attention. All of a sudden I hear her talking and giggling very quietly to herself...I walked in the closet to see what she was doing...well, I couldn't find her. Now mind you my closet is like the size of a bedroom but still....I looked behind the hanging clothes and really other than that, there was no where else to look.
Well, maybe one place......

She was in my hamper with the lid on...The most amazing thing is there was no laundry in it. There is always laundry in there. She was having herself a great time in there. She was in there a long time, the whole time I was getting ready.

Well, later that night I went in to say goodnight to Kameron, he had just went to bed not too long before that. There is no explanation for what I saw next, other than he must have been very tired.
Look what I saw.....
Hugo had given him this Turkey feather after he had found it out in the woods while out scouting for hunting season. He was very excited to have it. It is a very strong feather.
He must have just fallen asleep fast while it was in his hand. I showed him the picture the next day, as he didn't believe me when I told him what I saw. Then he very quickly told me to delete it from my camera. NO WAY would that ever happen.
He'll be mad when he sees this.
Hope you enjoyed a laugh as much as I did.
PS....To all mom's out there....always have a camera ready and available. Put it in your purse, diaper bag, backpack whatever you carry. There have been so many times that I have thought...I would have missed that had I not had my camera.
Trust me you'll be glad you carry it when you get the pictures back.

This month's Layout!!!

Here is the layout I did for the store this month. I like this one partially because I got to "create" while in Nashville with my Sis, Ash, and Ang just like old times. It was great. Somehow being together really helps my creative juices flow a little easier. I miss our times like that when we stay up late and chat, drank a lot of Joe in Sissy's multiple types of cups, and laughed our butts off. Well, we must not have laughed that much, cause mine is still behind me. lol!!!
Ash, we stayed up so late this night...well, I wouldn't have had it any other way. I enjoyed our time we had together. I love ya, girl...
Here's the layout.....

This is a close up of the leftside page...the previous photo has bad lighting....Love that flower on the bottom right....Thanks Sis for teaching me how to make it...

Right hand page close-up....

The free spirit on the bottom flips down to reveal a cute pic of Brooklin. Sis do you see all mom's ribbon on the right hand side of this pic. haha!!!

Short post, I know, but I don't have a lot of time today and maybe it will make up for the last few that have been long. LOL!!!

Love ya'all,

One, of Many Busy Days!!!

This was quite a busy day....Kameron started soccer practice and it was

8:30-Brooklin dropped off at school
9:00-I go to work
11:45-Leave work to pick up Brooklin

1:30-Pick up Kameron (early release)
2:00-Brooklin naps/Kameron homework/I eat lunch
2:30-Start an early dinner/phone calls/computer work
4:00-Pick up Shine from Cheer
4:30-Dinner
5:00-Kameron get ready for soccer/Shine homework & Piano
5:20-Dad takes Kameron to soccer
6:00-I leave for meeting
7:00-Kameron/Brook in bath
8:00-Kameron/Brooklin to bed
9:00-I come home from meeting
9:30-Make 4 lunches for tomorrow
Oh my!! That makes me tired.
Anyway, we almost missed the deadline for Kameron to get into soccer, we made it in by the hair on our chinny, chin, chin...He was so happy to have the same coach as last year as well as some of the teammates. His couch was great with the kids and soccer. So Kameron has practice 3xs this week but normally 2xs...Shine has practice 3xs a week...somedays she has to be there at 7 am which makes for a very early morning for us.
Here are some pics of Kameron at soccer practice.....

The next two pics are what happens when you give Kameron a goaly position...No, he is not trying to block the ball, he's dancing.
Well, I am very unsure of what is happening in this pic...maybe it's part of his dance routine??? Or not. What could be goin' on down there?
Moving on.......
Brooklin's was very excited to go back to school. She asked me on the way in the door..."Mommy, am I in Kindergarten?" I told her no but wow..too soon!!!
She has now started Pre-K prep for Kindergarten. She is happy to have one of the same teacher's she had last year...Mrs. Gallo. All her teacher's last year were amazed at what a tomboy she is...they told me that she doesn't ever play with the dolls or other girl items but she plays with Legos, blocks, trucks...they all told me how impressed the boys were with how high she could build her Lego's and blocks. They said the boys would get frustrated because they couldn't build them as high as her without them falling over.
She's had a lot of practice with her brother and his Lego's.
So here are some pics of her first day....
By the way, the cute lunch box she bought in Nashville while we were visiting our family. She loved that store, but for some reason we had to leave earlier than what we expected...huh Ash?
As we walked into the school.....

Brooklin always stops to smell the flowers, no matter how busy she is, or anyone else for that matter....
A nice welcome from her teachers....
Well of course, Nemo went to school...animals are not allowed but he is not an animal...he is a fish. Nemo hung out in Brooklin's cubby for the morning.
I love their little sinks and toilets...they are just their size...they have automatic faucets too.
The classroom apple tree....
Brooklin's apple on the tree....
No matter how busy it gets I am trying to make sure I enjoy these kids...time goes too fast.

8 Years!!

Happy Anniversary Babe!!!

I Love You!!!

I can't believe it's been 8 years for us as of Sept 2!! I was thinking about how long 8 years really is...it has gone fast but that's seems like such a long time.

Although this particular day was filled with the normal day to day activities, we still took some time after kids went to bed to recap our 8 years.
Amazing, some of the stuff our marriage has made it thru. When all circumstances, people and sometimes our own doubts, told us we wouldn't make it...well, we have!!! We've made mistakes just like anyone else, have gone thru some could've, should've, maybe's and can'ts...but now when I look back our marriage has come a long way in these 8 years. Now it seems like it takes a lot for something to get to us. I am very thankful for those questionable hard times.
Thanks to all of you out there that gave us godly wisdom and advice. Some of it, we listened to and some things we have just learned the hard way.
Hugo....I Love you very much and would make the same decision to be your wife, a second, third or more times. You are a great husband, father and friend.
I love the way you think about life situations and hard times...I have learned so much from you especially with looking at things from a different perspective. You have a gift of always always giving people the benefit of the doubt and looking at things from their perspective. That has helped me a lot.
You have always sacrificed whatever you needed to, to make sure we all have had what we needed or wanted. Necessity or not!!!
As crazy as your surprises have made me over the years...I love them!!! The first one of our marriage was in Mexico, remember?
We have had some great times with lots of fun and laughter...we have always had children since day one we met thru today and I love the father you are to them. We haven't always had that alone time that a lot of marriages get. You have always been patient with that.

I am very proud as your wife and mother of our children to be a part of you.
Thank you for the great life you have given us.

I Love You, Hugo!!!
Happy Anniversary!!!!!

We laughed so much at this photo...I took it holding the camera out in front of us...when I looked at the digital pic after we took it, this is what I saw.
