So where have I been???
I was wondering if ya'll were wondering if something happened then I realized that I posted about my pregnancy and thought you all probably put two and two together. Although I didn't plan on being away this long and had a few more posts planned prior to our new arrival but....
some things in life cannot be planned.

Well, here she is our new little joy in our house, family, life...
they sure do take over don't they? No matter how little they are upon arrival, no matter how much you say you will stay the same, no matter what else is going on in your life, your life instantly changes forever and you sure don't know what life was like just minutes prior to their arrival.

We love her sooooo much already....the minute she arrived the love was overwhelming...

What do you think of that Boppy Cover? Please share your thoughts for real...Yes, it's mine. My sweet mom made it for me when I couldn't really find one that was really me.
This one is sooo me!!! I love it so much...it's soft zebra fur, and the flower on top is so flexible and has a cute stem.
I will be taking pics later and posting them.

Well there she is..we waited for her so long...an extra 2 weeks at that.
Yes, I was 2 weeks overdue.
She was warm and snuggly and made us all wait.
She was well worth the wait.
We love her sooo much already...not sure how that love is implanted so quickly but it works and its a true love that cannot be removed but only to grow and grow more.

The photography is from our dear friend Jocelyn...I have written about her several times in the past..she came to our house to do this pics...thank goodness..what a blessing for a new mom. Thank you Jocelyn!! You know I am your #1 fan. I love you and your amazing work.

The only thing I would change about these pictures is that my sweet Shine being here for them. She flew to see my sister in Nashville for spring break and missed this photo session. We will be seeing Jocelyn again very soon to take some more, so we will have a session for Shine and the kids.
We miss you my Sweet Shine!!!

There are sooo many posts I have planned...I actually started writing them down because I don't want to forget any. Mostly about our little Addi. That's pretty much our focus. I know that some would say that is not good but I say, the time goes sooo fast with our children and I am enjoying it as long as I can.
It seems to me that it even goes faster when you have more than one...now our house has 4...oh my!! I hope I still have time to blog..lol!!

Baby Shower!!

I am so blessed. I was given another awesome baby shower this weekend.
My great friend Bernadette and Nanny Bethany hosted this amazing day.
They always do an excellent job at parties.
I loved, loved, loved everything.
My sis and mom also helped, they were secretly exchanging emails, texts, and phone calls with Bernadette and Bethany to assist with any little details or anything else they needed to be taken care of. I felt and still feel very special.
It was such a fun time.
The food was awesome, the friendships were a breath of fresh air , and the fun was long overdue!
We all had such a great time.
The decor was black/red/white with ladybugs.

Beautiful...I love everything.

This cute fat lady bug was the party favors. Under that beautiful ladybug foil was a lady bug made from amazing Belgian chocolate with little baby ladybugs inside. Perfect for the occasion.
They had them individually wrapped in cellophane bags with a tag attached with the baby's name. Gorgeous!!!

This adorable little book "Ladybug Girl" is so special.
My ever so favorite Doug, read the story to everyone while gifts were passed around everytime he said the words..."ladybug", "ladybug girl", "bug", or "LuLu". If you still were holding a gift at the end of the story, it was yours to keep.
Then every guests signed and wrote in the book for our baby girl.
Of course, Doug reading the book was so amazing!!
I love you Doug and so does little Dougalina!!

This is my great friend Bernadette.
We have such a blast together, no matter what we are doing.
Thank you my good friend for the gorgeous shower you gave to me and our baby. I appreciate it sooo very much!!
I love you and am thankful everyday to have you in my life!!!

Doug reading the "LadyBug Girl" Story.

This is me and my dear friend Lori. We have known each other since we were about 16 and have stayed very close over the years, unfortunately, it has been over the phone mostly. But we are changing that as we speak.
God put us together years ago, and we both know it was forever.
I love you my friend!!!

Renee and Sis...what a great reunion this was. These two are like two peas in a pod. Seriously!! I was so very happy to see my sis interact with all these people again. They all love her so very much and I personally know the feeling is mutual from her towards them.
She has not seen any of them in over 2 years.
Needless to say there was a lot of laughter and tears.
Everyone was so very happy to see her.

Me and Terri..So glad you could come Terri..I know we both wish your darling Cindy could have been there too.

Me and Sis..
I cannot tell you how happy I was to have her here for a visit.
I can't believe all this lady does for me and my family.
It's completely overwhelming.
This is THE best present I could have received that day.
However, I really wish she could have seen the baby. As she is still waiting to come out to see the world..she is taking her own sweet time to greet us all. I know that is so important to Sis and to me for the two of them to meet.
Still can't believe she came and left already and never got to meet our baby girl. There's nothing like a sister.
I love you so very much Sis!!

Me and Darlene..This lady makes me feel completely normal.
By that I mean...we think the same thoughts or the other one thinks worse sometimes.
I love you Dar, and glad you came into my life. I know God put us together just to give Kevin heck!! I just know it!!
He called me in because although you were doing a great job, he thought he would give you a break once in a while.
It's especially fun when we tell Bernadette on him, then just sit back and watch the fireworks.

Jocelyn and Sis.
These two are my camera/photography junkies that I continually learn from.
Jocelyn is my photographer that took all my maternity pics on my previous posts. Well, she has taken a lot of my family pics over the years.
She's amazing.

I was sooo happy to see her again. It has been awhile.
She is an amazing lady.

Well, I know that was an extremely long post. Sometimes there are things you just can't leave out. I opened presents for quite a long time and have many of those pics as well. I didn't really post any, but for all those in attendance just know that her closet/drawers and bins are full and then some.
She has everything she needs at least for the first 6 months or so.

I appreciate everyone that attended.
It was great to see you all and visit with you.
I loved that I got to see you, you got to see each other and my favorite, that my sis got to visit with each one of you. It was a very special trip to her and to me.

Bernadette & Bethany...thank you for opening your home to me and my friends. Your generosity was way more than I could have ever asked for. I know you both spent a lot of time and thought on this shower.
It means so very much to me to be blessed with such great friends that are really like my family.
I love you both very much!!!

Sis and Mom...Thank you for all your help for the shower too. The invites were gorgeous, the tags for the favors and the cupcakes were amazing.
(There is one more thing that I didn't share here yet. Sis made an amazing birthday box for our sweet baby.
I will post that as soon as we reveal her name. It is gorgeous. She did an amazing job!!)
I am so glad the two of you and Ashley got to come out for a visit. I am so sorry to say that our guest of honor was not here for the visit. I can't tell you how disappointed I am that you haven't got to meet her yet.
However, we will make that happen very, very soon.

Teresa Collins Blog!!

Wow!!! I am sooo honored!!
When I took the last session of my maternity photos, I created the tag for one of the belly shots. The paper I used to create it was Teresa Collins new Bebe Girl line of papers she just released at the Jan 2010 CHA.
I immediately fell in love with her designs of this new baby line.
Just like she said when she created it, you go into stores out there and it gets terribly frustrating when you can't find the style you like.
I can totally relate to that when I go into a baby store. That's how she created her line, she went looking for baby paper and couldn't find what she wanted so she went home and viola!!!

We met last year in Nashville, TN at a class me and my family was taking and I so clicked with her. I understood her, what she was saying made perfect sense to my brain and she really spoke to my heart.
Now if you have ever met this lady...boy you sure can't forget her passion, excitement and the pure love within her heart.
We have chatted here and there ever since then.
Conversations or not, I have always been one of her biggest fans.
I love all her designs..seriously. All of it!!

Anyway, all that said, I sent her a pic of what I had made with her adorable paper line. The tag on my belly.
This was one shot I wanted my photographer to do.

We had another photo session with our photographer, Jocelyn.
The day we took our first shoot it was raining and we really wanted to have some outdoor shots.
