Easter Bunny!!

So I realized I hadn't posted pix of Easter morning and the Easter Bunny visit...so here goes.

Kameron was so excited that the Easter Bunny went to Bass Pro Shop to get his Rocket Fishing Rod he wanted...

All 3 sitting by their baskets after they have searched the house for them.

Sissy's is usually the easiest to find. She would like it if you just got her basket of Peeps.

But no!!! the Easter Bunny must get yet another snow globe...of course an Easter Bunny one...

Shine loves her Spring/Summer/Swim suit...

At night we planted Jelly Beans by the tree outside and in the morning there were a bunch of suckers that grew. Amazing!!!

These were taken on Easter Saturday on our way to church. This was her Sat night Easter outfit...That girl loves her rain boots, oh excuse me "goulashes". Yes, she does call them that.

Allow me to explain the "Bunny Poop". Easter morning the Easter Bunny hides their baskets somewhere in the house. When they wake up they find Bunny poop all over the floor...This tells the kids the Easter Bunny has been there. Then they know where he's been and can find their basket easier cause he hides the oldest kids really hard places.

Here I am again!!!

Here I am!!!! Sorry I didn't fall off the face of the earth..just pulled away a little.

Well, you all wanted to know what Shine's reaction was to her room....

Here it is...

Then we had a present session...Shine said she was tired but we did this part...We all love getting our presents she picked out for us. She did good.

She got Kameron a stuffed monkey, an M&M bag, and a shirt that said someone that loves me went to DC and bought me this shirt.

Shine and Brooklin...she got Brooklin a DC shirt, an M&M umbrella(Kameron and Shine broke her's we brought home to her from Vegas), and of course another snow globe for her collection. This one is the Empire State Building.
Shine brought me a sweatshirt hoodie...very cute...just what I wanted. I collect sweatshirts and have for years.
She got Dad a t-shirt to match my sweatshirt.
I thought I should post this pic...I really think she missed her little brother...what do you think? I think he missed her too.

She had a good trip...a little bit of girl stuff but they're gonna be ok.

We were sure glad to get her home...I missed her like crazy! But glad she got to go experience that trip.

Surprise to My Shine!!!

While Shine was away on her trip to New York, we decided to finish decorating her room. We started the decorating last Christmas, but got very distracted and had not completed it yet.

So what a perfect time to do it and surprise her while she's away.

So I took some "BEFORE" photos...

(They're a little dark but you get the idea)

As you can see, this was started with one mirror hanging and the bed...that's where it stopped.


So after a trip to IKEA earlier this week (I will post those pics later), we had a few purchases to make to complete the room.
This is the "NEW" look....

This is close to the same picture above, but the table is not in this one...we are adding some circle mirrors next to the window along with the curtains.

This is the bistro table she wanted last year...I also wanted something different to put her keyboard on. Well, of course, IKEA saves the day. I love, love, love that store.

This is the wall holding the magnetic boards..notice the pictures she has selected to be displayed...her family. We had purchased this item last year when she got her bed. So she loves displaying pictures of her family and friends, also including her "To Do" lists. haha!! Who does "she" belong to???

She made the little sign with her name on it, in pottery class at school recently.

I don't think she knew it would be part of her decor.

This is the shot of one side of the room. It makes it easier to see what's where with this type of picture.

I took this close-up of the shelves during the day so the lighting wouldn't shine in the picture...Shine made the license plate again, in pottery class, mom found the star round metal piece above her keyboard, I bought the brown "S" while I was in Nashville, and the silver pot was something Mom was getting rid of when she moved.

That's it...I hope she likes it. She has no idea that we have done this for her. We still have a few things to get for it, curtains, which will add a ton of color, a couple round mirrors(someone tell me where to purchase them with no frame, I was supposed to look at IKEA, but after being in that store for 5-6 hours, I was done), we also need to get a stool for her keyboard, and definetly some black and whites for some picture frames. So No, Hugo we are NOT done yet. It takes a lot to fill a room.

It feels good to have at least one room in my house complete. Kameron's room is next. We have everything for it, we just need to put it together.

Shine comes home tomorrow night...I'll let you know what she thinks about her new haven.

I can't wait for her to come home...very excited to have her back!!!

I recall when you used to ride around with me in my little white 2-seater sports car when you were 3-4 years old. Seems like yesterday.

We opened the sunroof and ran around to see all my friends. I can't say I never took you cruising or to parties. You're mom and dad never knew..haha!! So your fun started at an early age. lol!!

New York/DC will never be the same!!!

Shine left yesterday morning )): at 0-dark:30.She left with 45 students from her 8th grade class for New York, Washington D.C., Philidelphia, and Virginia. They are taking a Smithsonian trip to many places that many people don't get to see in a lifetime, including her mom)):

I am so happy for her to experience this trip. She better take a lot of pics or she is in trouble...haha!! What would I do without them???

We miss her already...she will be gone for a total of 8 days, but it feels she has been gone for a month already.

Could anyone please offer some therapy for mom???

Sissy doesn't want her to go...or really she said she wanted to go with her to New York...(we told her the plane will fly over TN, ooops, shouldn't have said that)...

We've said the last goodbye..she must go now. With Brooklin yelling, "Bye Shine" to the top of her lungs...

hopefully they are all still friends when the return.

Hey, where'd he come from? Of course, he shows up after we can't get past security. ha!!

Jk..he's part of the group but not her's...ha!

Capital, Old Post office Pavilion, History Museums, Washington Monument, Smithsonian Art/Space Museums, Kennedy Center, Mount Vernon, Union Station, Jefferson Memorial, Arlington National, Marine Memorial, Ford's Theatre, White House, Vietnam Veterans Memorial, Lincoln Memorial, Holocaust Museum, Spy Museum, National Archives, WW II Memorial, Philidelphia: Constitution Museum, Ground Zero, Empire State Bldg., NY sightseeing, NBC studios, Broadway show, "Phantom of the Opera", Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island, Grand Central Station, Chinatown, Madison Square Garden, and of course..shopping in NYC and everywhere else they can go.

I am so excited for her to see all those places. I really wanted to go but no parent chaperones.

We miss you bunches Shine. We know you will have a blast, and can't wait til you come back home.

All Brooklin has been saying is, "Nemo misses Shine"...I asked her if she missed her and she said "No, just Nemo."
