Creativity 101!!!

I walked in my closet the other day to see something Hugo had told me about but I was having a hard time picturing it with my own eyes until I was watching this...

(WARNING: This video is about 5 min long, so if you can't watch it for that long right now, just come back later).

Brooklin finally accomplishes her goal at about the 4 min mark, so be patient til then. She knew I was videoing her, but she kept moving...Take a peek. ...

Who would have ever thought that this could even have been thought of...if you notice the only thing holding the blanket on is her hands. As it starts to fall, she is laughing and has no fear. There is really not much that this child is afraid of. There are a lot of kids out there who are not afraid of stuff, however, God has blessed this child and I know she hears from God frequently by some of the precious Godly things that come out of her mouth. She has prayed in the spirit for a couple of years now, since she was about two years old without us pressing in to teach her. It almost scared me until I realized the source on where that came from.
This little girl is such a huge blessing to our lives. God has really given her some special attributes. She is very smart and teaches us great things. We know that God has given her a special annointing and we see it everyday of her life.
Next time you don't know where your child is....you may want to stop in and check on them.

Look What the Babysitter Did!!!!!

Ok...so I have been out of the Blog Buzz lately...I have been crazy busy..so that just means that I have a lot to share...I'm back..have lots of posts planned. They may be kind of old but still fun...So here goes..

So after reading Bethany's blog, you know our family's have spent some time together. Well, look what Bernadette gave to Kameron. Can you believe it?? You know, you just never know what goes on when you're not around....always pay attention!!!

So before you get all freaked out...allow me redeem Bernadette. Yes, it's candy...however, it does look very real, huh? He sure does look like he knows what he is doing. Either he pays very close attention to detail or someone has shown him how to do such a thing.
Did that happen at Bernadette's house too???
I love you, Bernadette!!!! And so do my children...Thanks for all the fun at your house..

We have a Falcon in our house!!!

Well, we do!!! We have a bunch of Egle's and one Falcon!!!! haha!!!Kameron came home from school with an nicely decorated envelope addressed to Mr. & Mrs. Egle. This is the last piece of mail that a parent wants to see come home from school. So I open the letter, mind you Kameron was very excited that he got to bring home a nicely decorated envelope to me. He had no idea what was inside.
So I open it and start reading out loud, Kameron waiting patiently next to me....
"Kameron has earned the Falcon of the Month award for Citizenship!!!!
He will be honored during our assembly in the cafeteria in front of the whole school and invited parents.
I had to cover up a little cause the bottom of the award said, SShhh!!Please keep this a secret!!!
Oopps!!! Well, I stopped reading right after I said what the award was for...then said, Ha!! just kidding...well, he is a little smarter than that and said then why is there a picture of a trophy on there then...ooopss!!! Well, then I just avoided his question and then just asked him...have you been talking in class and have you gotten your name on the board...he responded with..."Only two times...so I left it at that with a chuckle inside and just said we would talk to dad about this later. He fell for it!!! Whew!!!!

We are so proud of you Kameron for your hard work...
Here is the video of his principal reading what his teacher wrote about him and why he was chosen for this award....

Here are the photos from the assembly....

Unexpected House Guest!!!!

Last week we had an unexpected visitor show up at our house...it was Monday afternoon, my house hadn't been cleaned yet, I hadn't been to the grocery store yet, I was super busy and on top of that, our house guest stayed for the entire week. Needless to say, I just couldn't turn away a visitor at my door well, at least not this one....

It was Gerald the Giraffe!!

No one turns away Gerald, even if it is for the entire week...

Allow me to explain...in Kameron's 1st grade class, each week a child is selected to bring home Gerald the Giraffe. Along with Gerald comes his decorated overnight bag, complete with his Giraffe Storybook, Gerald Journal, and of course, Gerald the Giraffe...
The student keeps the Giraffe all week and takes Gerald with them where ever they go. This could be soccer, dinner, friends houses, playing games...whatever the child does, Gerald does too.

I know, I know, that's the last thing I need is another something to tend to. Right mom???

The first thing Kameron did with Gerald was homework...don't worry Gerald, Kameron gets his homework done really fast...

After homework, mom gives me just a little bit of time on the Xbox....did I say very little?

Gerald also went to soccer practice with Kameron...(I think that picture is on Hugo's computer, you'll see it in the journal pages).
Actually, the boy that Kameron took a picture with at soccer remembered Gerald from last year. Small world for a little Giraffe.

Then there is bedtime...yes, Kameron is really asleep...
So everything you do, and everywhere you go, you take Gerald. You are to take pictures and then Journal for the week on the things Gerald got to experience at your house. You can add your pictures, stickers etc., and decorate it how you like. However, the most important part is the child is to write their journal entries sharing about Gerald's week.

Well, you don't have to say that to a scrapbooker twice....most of the kids took 1 page, maybe 2...but not my "son of a scrapper", no we took 4 pages. I know it appears that this was my project, however, Kameron did help.

These are Kameron's journal entries and scrapbook pages...(I love the beginning stages of writing).

We had a good visit with Gerald, now it is another student's turn to visit with Gerald. We enjoyed you Gerald!!!

Til next Time with T!!!

ps..it was important to Kameron that I post this on our blog...I think he needs his own...he probably could keep up with it better than I have been able to...

By the way...I miss all you bloggers out there...no one has made an entry in awhile. So here's to blogging...let's try to make an entry 1-2 x's per week...(yes, I will take my own advice).

Cooking Class!!!

Mom, me and Shine decided to go to a cooking class. We are having so much fun. I have been a few times before and mom has been once before, however, this time Shine went and the 3 of us are a team, well, with one additional teammate.
We are having a ton of fun!!! The class we are taking is International Cooking, so we are cooking from different countries. In addition, each week we go on a field trip. We meet at a specialized store for the country we are focusing on that week. The store has specific ingredients for the country and/or recipies we are making. It's amazing to me, I didn't know these stores even existed, well at least not so far. We'll see...I love it so much because it is getting me out of my cooking box.
Our first week was Italian cooking. So we went to Sam's Deli. Everything you could imagine that's Italian. I didn't realize there are so many shapes of pasta, well at least not locally.
Here are some pictures of our field trip and class (mom had to work late so it was just me and Shine on this one, but mom comes to class after)....

I love Shine in this Apron...It's the flag of Italy. She wanted to buy an apron for each week based on the country we were focused on...ok so that didn't happen...but she does look cute in it...

If you know my mom you have seen this before...

This is the dish me and my kitchen partner made..."Lasanga Pie"...It was very good. Mostly veggies, no meat...This was before it cooked...

This was our dish...presentation complete...yummo!!

Mom and Shine teamed up to make "Cannoli"...They are dipping the ends in chocolate...mom's idea....I think mom could teach this class...

Shine filling the "Cannoli" with cream...she looks like a natural to me... This warms my heart to see my daughter working with my mom. I love it...definitely valued memories.
This is there finished product...they were good, however, mom and I decided that we would add more sugar to the cream...

Hey, we didn't get this body from the gym...haha!!

Well, that's our first class...Italian cooking!!! I love Italian food. Next week is Mediterrean. I'll share more pictures and possibly some tested recipies...keep checking back..

Til next Time with T!!!!
