My Birthday Surprise!!

Ok, so this post is long overdue. I had planned to post all these pictures the day after my birthday but somehow it just didn't happen.
My birthday was back in June.
One day I was asked by my friend Bernadette and her daughter, which is our Nanny, Bethany to go out to dinner.
Since my birthday had past when we were going,
I had no idea what they had been planning.
Well, our dinner date comes, I go to the door, and this is what I find.

They had rented a limo to go out on the town for my birthday and planned a great night out with the girls.
Are you kidding me? How much fun was that.
I was TOTALLY surprised. I usually am a hard person to surprise, but Bernie and I tend to think a lot alike so, I think she knew how to "get" me.

This is all of us in front of the limo.
Let me tell you, this is a fantabulously, fun group.

Bethany, Shine, Me, Meagan, Bernie, Alisha, and Darlene.

Me and my best friend, Bernie.

My sweet gift from my friend Darlene.
Do these girls know me or what??
I love it!!!

Me and my Shine. No party is complete for me without my Shine.
I love you Shine.

The girls in front of our fav, Elephant Bar.

Alisha, Bernie and Bethany

I ran into some great friends at dinner.
They bought me a beverage. Woot! Woot!
Thanks Charlene and Jennifer.
Love ya...

Me and Darlene.
I love you my crazy friend.
You are my "Get Kevin" co-partner in crime.

My Shine always has a good time.

My Bestie Bernie.
I love you my friend.
God has blessed me with our friendship.

Look what they made me buy at that liquor store?
I had to go into the liquor store and buy a bottle of anything for under $5, including tax. Did they card me? Hmmm? I can't remember???
Wow! I've never done that before.
They sent me on wild goose chases all night long.
I had to go into Target to buy something really embarrassing. Shine, Bethany and Meagan ran into the bathroom because they were embarrassed.
It's ok, I got them anyway by yelling their names out telling them I bought them something. They cried with laughter.

Here's the rest of my night stops: The stop above in the picture, at the liquor store, the Farmers Market to ask complete strangers how old they thought I was. I had to get 5 people to say I was younger than I actually was. And yes, I did get people to guess younger.
That was quite enlightening to hear the thoughts of my age.
Boy, was that strange.
Some answers were good answers and some were bad. lol!

I think the worst/best one of all was the stop at GB3...I had to go in and walk on the treadmill in my high heels. Yes, I did it and then had to sit on a ball and do some weights, all in high heels. Everyone was really wondering what the heck we were all doing.
It was really funny. I had a blast!!!

Then we had to make a stop at BJ's for our favorite dessert.
We shared it between us all. So Yummy!!!
This was after dinner and a lot of stops along the way.

Bethany and Meagan.
Love these two girls.

What the heck is all that?
They made me do it.

Our Bethany...is that look upset or cuteness?
Either way, we love you.

Our driver. He was the best driver.
He was special to us all because he was the driver
at Bethany and Josh's wedding.
So he had been around us before. It's a wonder he came back for more.

So the whole night was crazy fun.
Between the friends, food, silly stops, laughter, all the funny looks and of course the presents, we created memories that lasted forever.
We had a blast and did I tell you I have great friends?

This was my birthday present from Bernadette and Bethany.
The diaper bag I had been drooling over.
It's a Petunia Pickle Bottom.
If you don't know them, you need to go check it out.
They are very popular in the baby world.
Even some movie stars carry them. And now I do too.
I love it. The color and print is totally me.
Thanks my friends. You're awesome!!
Now it's your turn to get one Bethany.

Isn't it soooo adorable? It carries sooo much stuff. Seriously!!!
I love it very much!!! I proudly carry it everywhere we go.

Thanks to Bernadette, Bethany, Shine, Darlene, Alisha, Meagan
for a great surprise birthday bash. I'm so thankful for each of you in my life.
You are all amazing.
I loved every minute of our fun night together.

Then and Now!

This is a layout I created in my Photoshop class with
Jessica Sprague.
She explains it so well and makes it so easy to understand.

Products used:
Sweet Vintage Charms Papers; The Neutrals Paper; Sweet Vintage Charms Add-on Elements by Creativity by Crystal
All Things Bright-Papers-Jessica Sprague; Photo Frames Set 1-Jessica Sprague.

I love these pictures of my son Kameron.
He has always had quite the personality.
He has always had something to say or did something that
has brought much laughter to our lives.

The picture on the right, he was about 3 years. He got a hold of my glasses, broke the arms off, put them on his face and smiled.
He didn't know they were upside down.

The other picture was not too long ago. He found some silly glasses of Mema's, put them on and smiled. This time he had a hat on from In n Out.
So funny, he is doing the same silly thing 5 years later.

I love my classes with Jessica. If you are thinking of trying digital, I would definitely recommend taking classes from her.

Family Photo Shoot with Jocelyn!

We had another photo session with Jocelyn.
This was such a fun shoot.
We got some pictures of the Addi because it was time,
but we didn't have any of our family since she was born.
The last set we did, Shine was on a vacation, so we had to wait til now.

Here's what we got...

Funny Face!!!

Brooklin loves reading the "Hungry Caterpillar" book to Coco, Coco loves to listen and look at the pictures and I love to watch them both.

Little Coco sitting at our feet.

Our latest "above the fireplace family photo wall hanging"

I love these kids so much. I am such a blessed mom.

My sweet Shine!! I love this girl.
She is one amazing teenager.
I tell her all the time,
"You were not born to fit in,
you were born to Shine"
And that she does!!

This is soooo my Shine captured!!

My Adoration!

Adoration's cradle.
Made only for a princess.

During this picture, Addi reached outside the box to the
little yellow flowers in front. She was completely fascinated by them.
Once she spotted them, these shots were done.
We couldn't get her attention any longer.

She's all ready to go.
This is a trunk Rusty Pickle sent to me after me being on their design team.
I knew it had the perfect purpose.
My mom says she's all packed and ready to go to Nashville.
Hmm? American Airlines might have a little problem with that one.

Again, I will say thank you to our FAVORITE photographer Jocelyn!!
Jocelyn, we love you dearly and really feel you are just part of our family.
You allow us to be ourselves and then capture that through the lens.
As I've shared with you, you will always be "our" photographer.
You have grown with our family over the years and been a part of all our family changes, good and bad.
You don't get frustrated during every shoot you have done, our family is either teasing, laughing, crying, or someone getting upset with the other one, as all families do .
You take it in stride and don't get annoyed with us. Well, at least you don't show it to us.
Just as I've said to you since you began photography...
We are your #1 fan!!!
We love you!!
Thanks so much!

Go take a look at Jocelyn's site to look at some more of her amazing work!
You won't regret it!!

Tuesday Tutorial with T!!

It's my turn this week for the Tuesday Tutorial at Scrap Tiffany.
I'm going to show you how to make a gift bag out of an envelope.
They're mini, cute,fun and easy.
Let's get started.

That's it. Pretty easy peasy huh?
Don't forget the many choices of envelopes out there, colored ones, and different sizes. I think it would be so cute to make one with a large manila envelope and decorate it very vintagey(is that a word?hmm?). You can also print on the front from your computer just like you would print normally, but instead of an address, print something cute.
Let me see what you come up with.
Email me a picture of your creation and I'll post them on my blog.
Thanks for stopping by.
