Disneyland or Bust!!!

We are headed to Disneyland!!!! I am so excited!!! I think I transform when I get there.

As some of you may remember...Shine is on the competition cheer team at school and they made it to Nationals again this year.

Nationals just so happen to be at Disneyland. Darn!!! That's terrible!!!

So off we go to Disney, so just like last year, we decide to make it a vacation and stay a few extra days. The trip is quite full and busy.

The competition is one day and the rest of the time is California Adventures and Disneyland. The kids are very excited and of course, I love to get away with my family. It will be great to spend some time together. It's a long drive, so that makes a lot of catching up time.

Kameron was randomly selected out of the audience for "Jedi Training"...this is the one he got to fight...me and shine were scared of him...not Kameron.

How Many Shots Does It Take???

That's a question that sometimes we don't ever get an answer for.

My lovely dear family, never gets a good picture the with the 1st or even the 2nd shot. It takes many. Usually it's anywhere between 5-10 for us to get a decent one.

That's just how it goes...Ask poor Jocelyn. She is our photographer. We always give her a run for her money.

I think we're the family that made her learn Photoshop on..haha!!

Well, this was at Kameron's party and I wanted a picture of me, Hugo and the birthday boy.

Not too much to ask, right?...or so I thought.

Ok, so I think we'll stick to the 1st one with Kameron's cheesy grin. There actually were a couple more than these, but I think I got my point across with 7.

The title of this post is an accurate question, that always comes up when taking a picture of The Egle's.

Kameron's Birthday Party!!!

We didn't just go to Kameron's class for cupcakes...he really wanted to have a party. So what do we do?

We plan a party in a little more than 24 hours...notice I said, we...that's not necessarily me and Hugo, although he helped too. That would be me and Aunt ReRe, mema and Shine...Kameron wanted to invite his whole class, but I told him we can't and won't invite the entire class...my social little male butterfly...

Here's the pix from his 7th Birthday Party....

Aunt ReRe made these in about an hour or so...I called her and told her what we were doing and she jumped to the occasion. Did I say an hour or so..she also uploaded them to be printed too.

What would I do without my sis??? I don't want to find anymore than I have already this past year. You all need an Aunt ReRe...I'm tellin you!!!!

Anyway, Kameron loved it..although initially he requested it to have some adjustments...his tattoo wasn't showing in the original. Of course, Aunt Sheri changed it for him....

This was the table decor..before anyone got there...We went with a skateboarder theme.
A closer look.....

The contents of the favor bag...Bandana, skater shoe strings,Pop Rocks, Mike n Ike's, a light-up spinner, a glow stick and a dog tag, Kameron made himself...if you look close you will see black metal on one side with a design etched into it. Hugo got the dog tags at an Army surplus store for pennies, Kameron decorated the metal(each one was different), and I added a skater sticker to the other side. He was very proud of them.

The cake...well, cupcakes. I did not make these, I purchased them. When you plan a party in 24 hours, don't try to be superwoman and make them...the kids eat them so fast, no one even know you made them...that's my party tip for the day...ha!!

Anyway, we added "Tech Deck Dudes and the boards" to the top. If you are not familiar with what those are, well they are a whole line of little plastic skateboards that you play with with your fingers...jumps, etc. Then they came out with Lil'dudes too.

We put both on top of the cupcake for decor...the boys loved it.Then we used a skateboard for the tray to hold them. The stand is the pizza stand that Me n Ed's has on hand for pizza, we borrowed one, to get it off the table and to keep it from rolling...
Kameron wanted to invite Ellie so Brooklin would "Be happy and have Ellie to play with"...at first I thought, how sweet...then I realized how smart he really was with that decision...if Brooklin had Ellie, then she wouldn't be bothering him and his boys....It was thoughtful though, however, it did work.

Shine wanted to invite a friend as well. Her friend Jessica from school...

Kameron and some of his friends riding the motorcycle...He likes that too much. Watch out drivers out there.

Well, all the boys did have a great time in the game room, no matter their age...

The Birthday Boy!!!!

These boys were funny..they all got along really well. No fighting...not like little girls their age..funny you would think it would be the other way around..

What does this Nanny think she is doing? A remote control Trantula!!!! No wonder my kids love her so...

Kevin and Bernadette..Kameron loves to play video games with Kevin and he loves Bernadette's chocolate chip cookies...

Present time...this one is Guitar Hero for Xbox...there is another story to this coming soon on another post...stay tuned!!!

Shine and Kameron...Shine found a Tech Deck case for him...it holds about 16 and can hang on the wall.

Hugo and Kameron..Hugo insisted on this purchase. Oh my!! This one doesn't shoot nerf bullets...Ouch!! on our rear ends!!!

Me, mom and Gma...we're missing two..they're in TN..

My dear friend, Bernadette...I do believe I have met my match.

This guy was so nice to Kameron...when he turned his tickets in...Kameron made his selections, then he told Kameron, "Hey, this is just between me and you, but you can pick one of everything in the case."

Way to go Kameron!!!
Grandma and Kameron...Grandma had decided long ago that for his birthday she would buy him a card shuffler. They play a lot of games when Gma comes over. Kameron always ask her to bring hers over. Cute!! She also got him a dart board. Oh my!! mom said when she watched him open it, she thought, "Oh my!! I can just see a dart in the back of Brooklin's head".

Of course, me and Kameron...

Mema and Kameron...she forgot his present in the car, so he just opened it at home.
