Scrap Tiffany Crepe Paper Challenge

The challenge this week at Scrap Tiffany was Crepe Paper.
Well, I have to admit, when I pulled it out and started creating with it, I had a hard time stopping.

The layout I created below is of my latest baby girl, Adoration.
I cannot believe she is almost 8 months old.
It seems like yesterday that I was rushing to the hospital.

We were in the mall shopping with our friends recently.
We saw this coat and boots and couldn't resist putting it on Addi.
She didn't even cry when we zipped her up and propped her up in the kiddie chair. However, it did take a few of us to get the job done.

For some reason I didn't have my camera with me (I know, very strange),
so Nanny Bethany took a picture with her phone.
Whew!! Always saved by an Auntie or Nanny in one way or another.
Anyway, after we took the picture, I remembered the layout I had started at home and I hadn't selected a picture yet.
This one was perfect!!

Here is my Crepe Paper layout for Tiffany this week.

Supplies used:
Polka Dot Transparency: Teresa Collins
"Sweet" Stones: Glitz Designs
Dymo Labeler
Misc: Crepe paper, blue stone brad, ribbon, rub-on

I ruffled and sewed the layers directly on the paper. Then created a few different flowers with the same crepe paper.
This pink flower is the one I decided to use on this layout.
(hint, hint...VERY soon, I will be posting a tutorial on Tiffany's blog and here as well on how to make these crepe paper flowers. But ssshhh!! It's a secret!!).

I added a stone, some ribbon and a few other details and done.
Each one of these colors is one of my favorites.

Thanks for stopping by, leave a comment if you're interested in the flower tutorial.

Hippity Hop Blog Hop!!

I have participated in the Hippity Hop Blog Hop with Scrap Tiffany. Tiffany was asked to participate with her design team for this great hop.

The design team each created a layout based on the sketch and ingredients for the layout "recipe".

You can see the Scrap Tiffany Design Team layouts here.
The first stop on the hop is Sassy Lil Sketches.

This is my contribution to a great hop.
I chose to create a layout of my 6-year old Brooklin.
She loves to create, she loves color and loves rainbows.

Patterned paper: Cosmo Cricket "Snorkel-Beach Towel;
Pebbles-Downtown Collection"Brooklyn"

Yay!! The Scrap Tiffany Blog Hop is here!!!!
Thanks for hoppin' in on our fun!!
I promise you won't be disappointed.

If you arrived from Keely's blog, then you are on the right track. If not, then you might want to start at the beginning so you don't miss any holiday inspiration.

I'm excited because there's a ton of blog hop holiday inspiration AND because this is the first Christmas project for me this year.
It will just get the holidays started for me. I must say, I was quite surprised when I heard Christmas music playing on the radio the other day. I hadn't even taken down my Halloween decor yet. Now I have and my mind has started shifting to the holiday season.
On to the blog hop fun...

For my project, I decided to make a card/tag holder out of a file folder.
Just a normal school folder. I got mine at Wal Mart for pocket change.
Here we go...

The front cover.

The inside cover.

The fun cards and tags.

A couple close-ups of the tags and cards.

Supplies used:
Patterned paper: 7Gypsies-"Ville" and "Pays";
Tags:Teresa Collins-"Gift Tags"; "25 Christmas" Teresa Collins- "Countdown til Christmas";
Red Santa Transparency-Creative Imaginations
Embossed paper: Cuttlebug
Metal Strip:Making Memories
Scallop punch
Misc: Red folder (Walmart);Black Cardstock; Ribbon; Velcro

Mini instructions:
Cut the folder 5 1/2 inches down from the top
left hand side of the folder.
Score and fold down 1 inch at the top right hand side.
Cover with paper and embellishments.
If you have any other questions about this project, please feel free to email me.

Well, that's my holiday project for this Blog Hop!!
Hope you are hopping away with some inspiration to make this project or
turn it into your own.
Always with Christmas comes presents, so
leave a comment AND become a follower on my blog
...
Santa will give away a nice Christmas surprise on Wednesday after the elves have completed all their holiday projects.

I will announce the winner on Wednesday!!

Head on over to Kristina's to check out her project.

You will not be disappointed.
Thanks again for joining us in this hop!!

Halloween Mail

Well, Aunt Sheri has done it again!!!
It seems like every holiday big or small or even not a holiday, "just because" seems to sometimes be a holiday for Aunt Sheri.
We come home one day this week and this cute box decorated in Halloween garb was sitting on our front porch.
She had told Kameron and Brooklin to keep looking for the brown truck man.
So the two of them were fighting to go check the mail all week.
Then it showed up on our porch.
When they see that decorated box(every box that comes from Aunt Sheri, comes decorated, ALOT!!)
The kids love it!!!
They fight over who will pick it up, who gets the scissors, who cuts it open and who gets to open the flaps and finally who gets to look inside first.
It is quite the fiasco!!
But of course, anything this family does is quite the event.
So on to the prize!!!
Let me add, it always seems that Aunt Sheri chooses to send the prize for them that I don't like. I think there is a pattern here. Hhhmm???
So here are the pictures.

See the cute decorated box she sends.

Shine cutting the box open.

And reading the letter. Yes, a letter is also always included. But not just any letter, oh no!! This letter is Aunt Sheri style...complete with whimsical colored letters to match the occasion(these were Halloween looking letters), colored clip art, and most important content that will bring tears to the Grinch's eyes.
The kids always feel so special.
When Aunt Sheri speaks these kids listen!!!
This is what she sent to them...halloween houses to decorate.
Do you know the contents of these crazy things.
Enough to send any mom to the moon.
Frosting, sprinkles, mess, mess and more mess!!!
All I said when they opened the box was,
"OH CRAP!!! I hate those things!!Those are for Aunt Sheri to do with you not me!!!"
So cute huh??
House #2

House #3

And House #4!!

Is she crazy? Has Aunt Sheri lost her mind?
Has she counted my children lately? Does she know how old they are?
Hhhmmm? Could someone please clue her in?!!!
Are there any other mom's out there with me on my side???

Ok, ok, stop the drama!!!
Thank you so very much Aunt Sheri!! The kids are so excited to make their Halloween houses.
Really, you always make them all feel so special, like they are the only kid out there in the world. No matter how far away you are, you still always make the holidays special for them, and any other day for that matter.
Thank you for being there for them(and me).
They all love you very much!!!
I love you even more!!
Cheers to the best Sis there is!!!
