Today being the last school day before Valentine's Day, of course,
it was the kids parties at school.
I made it to Brooklin's but unfortunately, I didn't get to make Kameron's. Due to the time of his party, I had a conflict with picking up Shine and an alterations appointment for her Winter Formal dress...that's is another post for another day very soon.
I did make Brooklin's party and had a blast.
Kinder's are so much fun. Here's some pics of our morning.
(I took a lot more pics of more than just of Brooklin, but
am very careful about posting pictures of other children on the internet,
unless I know the parent doesn't mind).
This is Brooklin with her basket of Valentine goodies for her friends...
She loved giving all her Valentines to her class friends...
Station fun...
"Love Potion" station, "Conversation Hearts Math"(smart teacher, they didn't even know they were doing "math"), color the hearts station, and my favorite, an adorable wearable art project.
You'll see below...So cute!!!
Brooklin has been saying for two weeks..."Mom, you can be my Valentine!"
Of course, I said "Yes."
She's working so hard on her project...
Tada!!! See what I mean...how cute is that?
If you look closely, you can see the arms out to the sides
with little hands attached.
By far, my favorite...the kids wore these outside as the parents picked them up after school, however, I missed that because, I locked my keys in the car just minutes after I left her school after her party. By the time I got to her, she was in the office with her heart sitting by the front desk in a chair..talk about feeling small.
UURRGGHH!!! Again, another story for another day!!!
This is a close-up of Brooklin's Valentine's she passed out to her friends.
Another version...it's a flower with a Blow Pop sucker as the center attached to a small painted, glittered, wood piece, with a ticket stub as a tag with Brooklin's name.
They were very girly. Sorry boys!! Enjoy the sucker!!
Here are the supplies that I used for Brooklin's
Valentine's..
These are little wood pieces I picked up at Michaels for .69 cents.
I poked a hole in the top with my Crop-A-Dile to tie the ribbon through.
A gift for Mrs. Horton...a notebook, note cards, and a fun matching pen.
Even though I didn't get to make it to Kameron's party, here's his Valentine's for his friends.
OK, he had rules for me in my creativity.
"What? Rules in my creativity? That's the craziest thing I have ever heard!!!"
"OK, OK..I will listen."
"NO PINK ALLOWED AND NO RIBBBON!!!"
So I thought I was doing pretty good so far...UNTIL.. he noticed the tiny shredded tissue in the bottom of the bag..darn!! How'd he see that?
This was a BIG request, I mean really, after all it's Valentines day and no pink and no ribbon? How do you even do that?
So I chose the phone a friend option...I called in Aunt Sheri!!
She created the bag topper for me from her digi stash...whew!! for me..I was safe, other than the ribbon issue, which I had already purchased some what I thought was "safe" ribbon, but it was still ribbon..so I opted for staples...urgh!!
So here's the finished product!! He liked them and so did I.

We had a great day!! I love having days with my kids like that.
We don't realize how much it means to them.
They love having mom at school, well, at least let me believe that. I know Kinder's do anyway.
Hope you got to spend the day with your kids at school parties.
Speaking of school parties, Shine has her Freshman Winter Formal tomorrow night.
I will be posting pics within the next couple days.
Oh my!! Anyone know a counselor or have something to put me out for the next few years. lol!!
Just kidding!! I am embracing it and it's a whole new learning experience, that I insist on enjoying. So come back for a visit soon!!
Til next Time with T!!!
