Scrap Tiffany-Wk 5-"Baby"

Currently Scrap Tiffany is on Week 6..but due to my Blog construction I could not, would not put anything up until I packed up the Christmas decor from my blog.
My Christmas decor in my house was taken down the 2nd week of Jan. but the blog was having a hard time letting go of all the festivities.
So now that is over and packed away til next year,
I can move foward with some more fun.
Thanks for your patience and thanks to my sis for helping me get everything packed away.
I appreciate your help with getting my blog back together in one piece. ;)

So this layout is from last week's challenge(week 5)..
I will be putting up today's challenge(week 6) later in the week.
Week 5 challenge was baby photos. It could have been of you or another baby. So I chose to do a layout of my youngest daughter.
She is not as young as the photos, she is now 5. Time has flown by.

Here it is...take a peeksy...

Ok, two things...first of all, all that pink does not resemble my daughter any longer. She has stated to me that she "HATES pink". She is my tomboy for sure. I think having an older brother has contributed to that, but you would think the older sister would pull her the other direction. I guess not. She's so funny.
Secondly, I am not the photographer of those beautiful pics that were taken. I only wish I was that good.
They were taken by my good friend Jocelyn. You can find her here...
Not sure where you are located in relation to Jocelyn, but I call her "my" very own personal photographer. I have sworn by her work for years and she is awesome. I have never not liked a picture of me or my family she has taken.
I am just about to see her to do my maternity pics. URGH!!

Why do we prego mom's do those anyway?
Its sure not cause you feel so glowing. ha! That "glowing" is just sweating because you can't breathe walking across the room. Ok, I forgot where I was..hmm?
Oh yea!! Jocelyn...go take a look and see her work you will be quite inspired.

While you're hopping around..go check out Scrap Tiffany's blog...well, this week you will see the week 6 challenge's, but my layout will be posted here this week.
I need to get caught up on some posts...
so make sure to check back when you get a sec.
Thanks for stopping by and leave a comment to tell me you were here.

Again, so sorry for the delay...one of my pet peeves...not updating your blog at least 2x's per week, and now I have done it too.
It's sometimes hard to keep up.
All is good!!

Scrap Tiffany-Week 4-"Grief"

On to Week 4 Challenge over at Scrap Tiffany Blog.
I love these challenges. They really make you think differently.
Not the norm.
This week the challenge was on Grief.
Your take could be whatever you wanted.
To be honest, doing a layout on grief just wasn't working for me.
I have had my problems in life just like anyone else, however, I try to always find something that I am thankful for.
It usually always directs me back to what's important in life and that ends up normally directing to God and people(my family) and not stuff.
I know it sounds sappy but those were my
thoughts when thinking about this challenge.
I am very thankful for my life, God, and my family.
We really have nothing without those.

With that, I decided to create a card referring to someone else's grief they may be going through.
Here's a look at what I created....

I have always loved to create cards. I love the individuality of each one created. They are simple, quick and usually does not take a lot of product. This card was created using only scraps from my scrap file. I love that box I created for all my little pieces of throw away. No, I do not keep every piece only the ones that are large enough to do something with and if it's too small to see and falls down to nowhere land, it gets trashed.
However, it's the first place I go to when looking for a specific piece of color while I'm creating.
So when I looked thru the files I found peices of color that I hadn't seen in a long time that I really do love.
I was very happy when the colors all worked together.

Hope you like my take on this week's challenge.
Go on!! You know you want to do it!

First, head over to Tiffany's, check out all the other design team takes and then go to your space and create what you think of when the word "Grief" comes to your mind.

Thanks for hanging out with me for a tidbit!!

Week 3 Scrap Tiffany Challenge

This week's challenge is up at Scrap Tiffany..
Week 3 was to create something 80's.
Wow!! Did that take some thinking.
I couldn't find any of my pictures, and if I did, I am not so sure I really would have really created something I liked with them so I opted to
use a picture of my daughter last year from a Halloween 80's theme.
Here is what I created...

Although, this is her dressed up, I know somewhere there are pictures of me dressed exactly like this. Except for the fact I was not dressed up in Halloween garb but just in my everyday garb. Unbelievable how times change.
I remember when my daughter was putting all that on, she said,
"Mom, did you guys really wear all this stuff?"
Of course, I had to answer, "Yes".

No matter what, she still looks cuter in it than I did.
However, so glad she has her own look and doesn't have to wear that.
I know one day when her kids look at her old pics they will too say,
"Gee Mom, did you really wear holey jeans, so much that your knees showed?"
Then I can sit back and remember this day.

Thanks for stopping by...don't forget to head over to Tiffany's to check out the other design team layouts on this fun 80's challenge. There are some great takes on this one.
Don't forget you can participate too.
Create something 80's and email it to Tiffany. It will be fun to see what you create as well. This challenge I'm sure has many turns to it.

Adorable little book!! I have just enough time to get in and complete it before the baby comes. Just in time for me to get some pics added to it.
